Anand is surprised with himself, how can he fail to notice such an amazing doll Madhu. It is a very big crime for a guy like Anand. He is a kind of a guy, who always gets the best score among female crowd especially the pretty ones like Madhu. Anand did go to one of those extreme strict (Engineering) colleges where the concept of co-education has been jailed in the name of management rules. If you are from South India probably you would know for sure what I am talking about here. For others, lets me walk you through those weird college experiences. The students has to be dressed in certain way, their hair styles, side burns for guys, are monitored. If any student is found to be going out of the dress code they are faced with consequences. Basically, guys and girls are not allowed to talk to each other inside their college campus. 

What?? Are you serious passionate soul? Does these things ever exists are your living in some olden days era? I can hear you people asking me this question. But, this is the truth. Even though Anand is among those poor souls who had to go through this torcher, yet he managed to be a guy who can charm any girl with ease.So what’s next for Anand? Obviously getting closer with Madhu, automatically his mouse clicks the “FRIEND REQUEST” icon on her profile. He drops an inbox message to Madhu, just in case what if she takes ages to respond to the friend request. Just in 2 minutes he gets a reply from her. BINGO…!!!! Their conversation continues for another 2 hours more or less. 

Hey you passionate soul, how can Madhu chat with this guy for this long. Remember when the meet you said she was a bit rude to him. She wasn’t being friendly at all. So how is this possible now? Come on my confused reader Madhu is a typical girl. She is supposed to be acting not interested face to face even though she is interested compared to the Facebook chat where all these rules doesn't apply. I can hear my male reader saying “ha ha spot on passionate soul, we have seen girls do this annoying thing a lot” and my female reader, saying “Ouch passionate soul why did you tell the truth out?” 

an example conversation between Anand and Madhu:

Anand: “So Madhu which college are you studying?”

Madhu: “I don’t think I have to tell you this”

Anand: “hey come on yaar what am I gonna do. Whats wrong in telling that”

Madhu: “I don’t see it’s necessary to tell u al that, did you tell about your college?”

Anand: “haha good question, I am from Engineer College”

Madhu: “oh which department?”

Anand: “CSE department yaar, how about you?”

Madhu: “just because you are stupid enough to tell all your details. It doesn’t mean I am a stupid one too, to tell you about me”

Anand: “huh? What??”

Madhu: “Okey I am a final year BBA student. I gotto go now bye”

Anand: “hey which college temme that and go”

Madhu goes offline, and he doesn’t get any reply after that. You might have got an idea how she would have replied to him in these 2 hours. But still, he liked her way of response and he liked him too. Otherwise why would she waste her time in talking to him? So passionate soul can you tell us how did Madhu felt about Anand.

Well after the party, or I should say even during the party when Anand was talking to Madhu. She liked him all along. She doesn’t know the reason what made her to get attracted to him. She kept on thinking about it after the party (obviously, before that Facebook conversation with him). Is it that manly look of Anand? The 5 feet 11 inch tallness of him she wasn’t sure is he 5.11 or 6 inch tall? the wheatish (not whitish) complexion of him or that confident smile he put across which obviously enlarges in size when he is talking to a pretty girl or the soft romantic voice of him? She doesn’t able to figure out what attracts her towards him. Only one thing she is sure of he is not like the other men she has seen so far in her life and there is something quite unique about Anand. However, she did make sure her liking towards him is not visible to anyone in the party. Even during their Facebook chat she was so conscious about he shouldn't find out that she likes him. Now this would have answered your question why would Madhu behave in such strange ways towards Anand so far.

This is next day evening around 4 p.m.; our hero has managed to find Madhu’s phone number. He whats app’s Madhu now. (Dear reader if you are not sure what this “WHATS APP” is, it is a kind of messenger application in the smartphones for more details just Google it) She is Happy at the same time surprised to see a message from Anand. The first thing she does is add him to her contacts (don’t Question me how she found out it was Anand? Obviously the display picture tells that FACT). Their conversation continues as:

Anand: “Hey Madhu Anand hereJ”

Madhu: “Anand? Which Anand” (Obviously she knows, but she has to show some attitude rite)

Anand: “the same Anand with whom you went on a movie date last week”

Madhu: “huh when did I go to movies with you?”

Anand: “you know very well who it is. Still showing attitude eh..?? That’s why made up a story”

Madhu: “haha lol a good one”

Anand: “Thanks so wat you up to?”

Anand thinks in his mind “all these girls are the same. They show you attitude until you come up with something like this. Girls and their stupid fake attitude”

Madhu: “hmm nothing much, just packing”

Anand: “oh going somewhere?”

Madhu: “yes”

Anand: “where? When?”

Madhu: “today for 6pm bus to Banglore”

Anand: “why to Banglore”

Madhu: “well that’s where I study right, college starts from tomorrow”

Anand: “WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT?? You stay In Banglore? You never told me”

Madhu: “well you never asked me. K I gotto go cya bye”

Anand is shocked know, all this dreams of getting closer to Madhu, roaming around with her, the movie date everything is ruined now. How on earth all this is going to happen between them. When she is staying like 346 KM away from him. Anyway what did she say at last? Her last words? “CYA” which echoed into his ears like “I want to SEE YOU Anand”. So he rushes to meet Pradeep, only now he recollects from his memory that Pradeep’s sister Preethi is studying in Banglore for past two years. Oh damn...!!! now it all makes sense. Now he knows why he hasn’t seen Madhu uptill yesterday, given the fact they have mutual friends.

I can hear you scolding me “Hey you passionate soul, you said Madhu and Anand are going to be lovers. You gave us a beautiful first meet of them. But why do you have to ruin it all?? By making Madhu study in Banglore?” ha ha my dear reader that’s the thrill. Come one I need something or the other to raise your blood pressure right? So whats going to happen next? Short Story Their Ignorance...

Their Ignorance... 

That was a Saturday evening, Raghav reaches home after an outing with his friends. As soon as he enters, Mom started her usual bickering about how much he wastes money and always roaming around with friends. He cajoled his mom by giving, a smooch in her cheeks. His usual way of stopping his moms' complains. This technique has always worked well for him. Mom hands him over the black coffee by throwing along her usual affectionate smile. He enters his room with coffee in one hand and turns on the music on the laptop. There rings his phone, who was it? it was Ramya as soon as he saw  her name his face lights up. Who is Ramya? Is she his girlfriend? NO!! then his crush? NO NO!! She is his best friend. You may be wondering why would his face light up for a best friend? Only god knows the answer for it. Because Raghav is one of those weird guys who doesn’t have a clue about what he is doing. He attends the call;

Raghav: Hiiiiii Ramyaaaaaaa !!! (with such an excited voice)

Ramya: Hey Raghav, how are you? (wow that sweet voice, to which he can never get bored of)

Raghav: I am good how are you? Been a one whole week you busy bee!!!

Ramya: I know, I am sorry Raghav. You know I had exams this that couldn’t attend you calls but I did message you. But you didn’t reply back

Raghav: well uhm…you know I am not good at messaging. I love talking but not messaging.

Ramya: ha ha I know so how was your day?

The conversation continues for another 15 minutes. Please don’t ask what they were talking about, just the usual unnecessary stuff every guy and a girl would talk over phone for no apparent reason.

Raghav: did you see this new movie “Matraan”.

Ramya: oh yes I did it was such an awesome movie. I LOVED IT to the core you know.

Raghav: me too loved it so much.

Ramya : who was your favourite? For me its Akilan such a funny character. He reminds me of Vinoth

Raghav: Vinoth? Seriously again him!!!

Ramya: why Raghav whats wrong in talking about Vinoth?

Raghav: nothing, just change the topic yaar

Ramya: no  no  tell me whats wrong in that?

Raghav: well well well, how to tell you hmmm….ahan you saw the movie Maatran right. Do you remember the scene where Akilan, Vimalan and Kajal plays a lie game.

Ramya: yeah yeah I do remember. But what does it has to do with Vinoth now?

Raghav: if I say in that manner the lie game manner,

“I feel irritated hearing to your voice, I don’t like to see your face at all, and I am not at all jealous when you talk about VINOTH”

Ramya: Raghav what is this why do you get jealous when I talk about Vinoth.

Raghav: Because he is your ex. there has already been a guy in your life who is very dear and special to you. That fact annoys me, irritates me, makes me jealous.

Ramya: what are you kidding; when I talk about my EX you get annoyed. Haven’t you spoken about your past EX(s)? For me it’s just Vinoth only. But you have many EX girlfriends. I don’t get jealous or annoyed when you talk about them.

Raghav: yes because I don’t always talk about my EX, unlike you who always 24/7 talking about your EX Vinoth.

Ramya: you’re such a selfish hypocrite Raghav….

Raghav: shut up Ramya!! You always talk a lot about Vinoth. As if you don’t have a life without Vinoth

Ramya: that is true Raghav. He is the only EX for me. For God’s sake it was a whole two year relationship. Of course he is going to be there in every part of my past.

Raghav: JUST two years right. Didn’t you have a life before you got committed to him? Cannot you talk about that? Whatever I say for most of the things. You have a story to narrate about. I like the way you describe things. But each and everything you had to include VINOTH in that. Which annoys me so much it just irrrrrrritatess mee…

The argument continues for another 2 minutes and the conversation ended with both of them saying don’t call me ever. I won’t talk to you our friendship ends here. Just one small one phone can make this much hassle? Possibly you all can understand this, each and every one of you reading this might have undergone similar situation at some point of time in their life.

Raghav gets his diary out and starts jotting down in that same rage after the phone call.

Dear diary,

What did I do now? I did the correct thing right. She always talks about that idiot VINOTH and annoys me. I told her not to talk about him. She doesn’t want to listen and picked up a fight. when she says don’t call me here after, how can I say “please don’t say that Ramya how can I be without talking to you”. I have my own pride too, I need to guard it. Why cannot she understand I cannt she understand me. I miss her now. Why does she have to be so dumb?

Ramya thinks to herself, all men are the same. I talk about Vinoth because this idiot Raghav always talks about some random girl one of his EXs from past. When he tlaks about some girl, how can I just nod my head and listen to it. That’s why I talk about Vinoth deliberately. Why cannot he understand that? Or maybe I overdo it? I am so confused. Her phone rings now.

Ramya: Hello…

Raghav: Hi (a long pause)

Ramya: yeah

Raghav: can we meet now? I need to tell you something

Ramya: Now? But why

Raghav: Just come please the usual Anna Nagar coffee shop

Ramya: hmmmm see you in 45 minutes.

Raghav: yeah sure will be waiting for you

Ramaya is so confused now. Why does he want to meet now? To fight more, argument more and blame me further? He is gone crazy for sure. She reaches the coffee shop there he is waiting for her.

Raghav: Hi (with a big smile on his face)

Ramya: Hi (why is he smiling now, we are fighting did he forget even that)

Raghav: I don’t want you to be my girlfriend Ramya

Ramya: what the hell. When did I tell you I want to be your girlfriend?

Raghav: I don’t want you to be my lover.

Ramya: huh ? what are you blaberring?

Raghav: I just want you to be with me forever, just grow old with me. Will you?

Ramya: Raghav (She is shocked, surprised to hear such a thing from him)

Raghav: yes Ramya I love you. Be with me forever. Don’t ask me from when I started loving you. But one thing is for sure. Form this very moment I will love you forever, for eternity more and more each day.

Ramya: but..eermm hmm…I need…I time… (She couldn’t control that surprised big smile on her face)

Raghav: I know Ramya you too love me just accept it (Ramya accepts it with her cute smile)

Raghav was ignorant of his own feeling for Ramya. So does she. They both laughed at each other’s ignorance. From that day onwards they both where the best couple, yes they did start their journey to grow old with each other. Raghav and Ramya where one among those lucky couples, best friends turned into lovers....

First meet... (Ch -1)

 On a September evening at 5.45 pm Madhumitha was struck in the rush hour traffic of the Chennai city. By 6.00 pm  She needs to be at Preethi’s place. How on earth is she going to reach T-Nagar from Ashok Nagar in just 15 minutes? Preethi is going to get upset for sure. Of course she would be upset, because it’s her birthday and Madhumitha is one among her 4 best friends. Anyhow at least by 6.45 pm  now Madhumitha has reached Preethi’s house. There was Madhu’s little crew waiting for her arrival Gayathri (Gayu), Malini (Malu), Abirami (Abi). 

As soon Madhu arrived Preethi started to cut her Birthday cake. Preethi was waiting for her best friend Madhu to reach. Now Malini goes "hey look there two good looking guys in that crowd. The Blue shirt and Black shirt" pointing at the group of guys laughing, cracking up jokes and talking to each other. They are Preethi’s twin brother Pradeep’s friends. On a reply to Malini’s statement Abi said "oh god please, when are you going to stop talking about guys. I am fed up of you." Malini replied "yeah right you saint no wonder you are still single." Then Madhu "Malu you always talk about guys this that etc., then why aren't you in a relationship yet? Stop embarrassing Abi." Malini always shuts up when Madhumitha or Preethi says something to her. Because they both are smart and witty girls who make sure Malini is kept under control from embarrassing anyone.

Now the most annoying time that any birthday girl/boy would hate has come. Yes it’s the birthday bumps time. Since Preethi is a girl she was spared from any birthday bumps, but she had to go through the torture of cake make-up on her face. Preethi’s friends took care of cake make-up on her face and Pradeep’s friends did the honour of birthday bumps to him. In this chaos situation, accidentally the blue shirt guy poured Pepsi on Madhu’s light green Salwar. The guy in blue shirt goes “Hey I am sorry really sorry sorry”, Madhu with a fake smile “that’s alright no problem.” Meanwhile Abi jumps into the conversation and scolds the blue shirt guy who spilled Pepsi on Madhu. Malini is really worried right now and tries to control Abi. Since the guy in the blue shirt is one of the two good looking guys spotted by Malini earlier, no wonder she tries to defend him.

Now the black shirt guy looking at Madhu says “hey come on yaar it’s just Pepsi. Stop making it a big deal.”

Madhu: “huh? JUST Pepsi?

Black Shirt Guy: “yes yaar it is just Pepsi, it will go away when you wash it off”

Madhu: “will you stop calling me Yaar? I am not your Yaar!!! Mind it!! Go and call you Girl Friend with all that”

Black Shirt Guy: “Hello, we can call a friend as Yaar too” and he enjoys at the way Madhu gets irritated with him.

Madhu: “Whatever don’t call me Yaar!!”

The situation was brought under control by Pradeep. By now you would have guessed who that Black shirt Guy is; yes you are right that’s our hero Anand. While have dinner at the birthday party. Pradeep introduced his friends to Preethi’s friends. Now Malini finds out the name of blue shirt guy (Karthick) and black shirt guy (Anand). Anand strikes up a conversation with Madhu.

Anand: “hi, I am Anand”

Madhu: “okay”

Anand: “hello you are supposed to say your names miss”

Madhu: “did you hear Preethi call me as Madhu earlier”

Anand: “that doesn't mean that you cannot tell once again”

Madhu: “I don’t talk unnecessarily”

Anand: “if so, then you shouldn't have said that fact itself, since you told it, this is an unnecessary talk. So you do talk unnecessarily”

Madhu: “arrghh can you stop annoying me now”

Anand: “ha ha, so which college are you madhu?”

Madhu: “I don’t have to tell you all that”

Anand: “ha ha your wish madam”

The the party is over now, Anand had reached home. For some reason he is not able to sleep today. What could it be disturbing our Romeo? His phone rings with the ringtone

This is Anand’s ringtone, but it hasn’t disturbed him ever so far. But why would it make him feel different right now? those where the thoughts running in his mind with that 3 second gap before attending the call, It was Karthick As usual complaining about his girlfriend. Anand was not paying much attention to Karthick. This was quiet unusual of him. When Karthick started to fire him with questions, Anand somehow tackled the situation. Karthick did ask “dude what happen? Do you miss Meera? Is that why you are quiet unusual now?” Anand replied “Meera? no no noway, why would I miss her? I am just tired going to sleep I guess”. 

After the phone call, Anand smiled to himself thinking “why would I miss that female Meera, she is such a pain.” Crops up a notification on his laptop with a sound “ping.” It was the party photos Preethi have already uploaded them. Thanks to Preethi looking at those pictures now Anand knows the reason for his sleepless night today. Yes you have guessed right!! Anand is smitten by Madhu. Looking at her pictures, those dark brown magnetic eyes where giving out warm beautiful gaze. Madhu has a beautiful smile. Anand realises he has a crush on Madhu. But how did he not notice this alluring smile of her when she was just 5 feet away from him.

Introduction...

Today is 21/12/2012; Doomsday is the hot topic in every nook and corner of the world. But for Madhumitha 21/12/2012 is not a Doomsday it’s her dreams-day. Yes a day when she realises all her dreams about love has come true. On this very day Madhu loves her life so much. What could be happening to her? Making her feel the most luckiest girl on this earth? Did she win a lottery? Did she become a Hollywood star overnight? What is so important happened to her today making her to float on a cloud nine. Today was her engagement to Anand . Madhu’s family, friends, and relatives everyone is happy for her. By now you must have guessed “is this some sort of love marriage”? Some of you have thought as “Oh god again the same thing, someone blabbering about love story. I have had enough of these crazy romantic people. Who are always talking about love love love…please give me a break."  To those who pretend to act as if they don’t like love. Love is an essential part of life, love is there everywhere. 

Look around you, can you see love being surrounded by you in all means. The affection between you and your parents is love. The tiny little fights between you and your sibling(s) are love. The care between you and a 10 year long friend is love. Even when you’re living a luxurious life far away from your motherland, the very moment something remainds you of that precious country where you were born. Don’t you say it out loud “I love you my country.” You have fallen in love with your own culture, tradition, habitat of your motherland the things you used to do there everything. Did I forget someone? Yes I did the cute little pet you own. Don’t you love that little creature? See you have already experienced love soo many times. Before even reaching your teen years you have already been in love too many times. So why would you pretend to dislike the love between two souls like Madhumitha and Anand. Please at least now start being your true self it’s not too late yet.

No one can deny love in any form. All kinds of love together make our life beautiful. But why do these authors, screenwriters and film director’s emphasis more on a love between the lovers. Some people might argue that hormones and the chemical reaction in them have a role to play in this kind of love. Whatever it might be, everyone becomes a victim of this so called feeling love. Some are lucky enough to spend their life with that love. Most hide it away from the world and live their life with the memories of their love. Few are gifted enough to spread the feeling of love to the world. Those authors, screenwriters, and film directors come under this few gifted ones category. Yes they have a talent of making you fall in love with the idea of love. No one can ever make you understand what love is. You had to experience the feeling of love to understand it. These gifted people are fortunate souls who can bring you those experiences in various forms like a romantic novel, a love story movie etc. Let’s start exploring the feeling of love through Madhumitha and Anand’s love story. Are these two souls lucky enough to spend their life together? or did they hide it away like most others and going to live only with the memories of their love? Lets start our journey to find out did the two hearts merged as one.
